1. Before operating the injection molding machine, check the electrical control box for water and oil. If the electrical components are damp, do not start the machine. A maintenance personnel should dry the electrical parts before starting.
2. Before operating the injection molding machine, check that the power supply voltage is within acceptable limits; it should generally not exceed ±6%.
3. Check the emergency stop switch and the front and rear safety door switches for proper function. Verify that the motor and oil pump rotate in the same direction.
4. Check that all cooling pipes are unobstructed and ensure that cooling water is supplied to the oil cooler and the cooling water jacket at the end of the barrel.
5. Before operating the injection molding machine, check that all moving parts have lubricating oil and add sufficient lubricating oil.
6. Turn on the heating element to heat each section of the barrel. Once each section reaches the required temperature, maintain the temperature for a period of time to allow the machine temperature to stabilize. The holding time varies depending on the equipment and the requirements of the plastic material.
7. Add sufficient plastic to the hopper. Depending on the requirements of different plastics being injection molded, some materials are best dried beforehand. 8. The heat insulation cover on the barrel should be properly installed. This will save energy and extend the life of the heating coil and current contactor.
